I'm so sorry I have been away so long! I had a major case of the flu all last week, and am just now feeling human again. I have never ever been hit with the flu like I did this year, and I even had myself convinced it was the swine flu.(it wasn't) Anyway, I'm better and I can't wait to get back to my normal life and crafting!

I just got back from the HUGE yard sale, and I don't think I lost any fingers from frostbite but I'll have to get back to you on that. Seriously, it is so freakin cold outside and I bought so much, and had to carry it all by myself, that I thought my hands were going to fall off! Chris and Matt, our roomate, went with me but they kept running off to the food stands.

The yard sale went all the way around the top of the stadium.

Okay, on with the loot!

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this, but it was only fifty cents.

This is actually a beadspread (that's what the little lady told me), but I'm going to try to use it as a tablecloth. It was only 25 cents.

And because I didn't want to just buy stuff for myself, I bought this Griffon leather bottle holder for Chris' man room.

What was the first thing Chris asked??? Does it have any alcohol in it? I should have known! This was three dollars.

I bought these cute candle holders. The big one was four and the small one was a dollar.

I was so excited when I saw these and I'm not even sure what they are for sure. I think I'm going to put some fabric behind them. I got four of them for  two dollars.

I love this! I'll have to paint it, of course.

I also bought this cute purse for four dollars. It is brand new and it's from NY and Co.

Well, that's all I bought. I almost bought a pair of milk glass lamps, but I forgot to go back and get them.

DYN-O-MITE Yard Sale!

Those of you who know me in real life know that I am not a morning person, in fact I am a true night owl. I am always over-sleeping and late for stuff, but the one thing I can almost always get up for is a yard sale. Isn't that horrible?? Well I am once again up at 7:00am to go treasure hunting at the biggest yard sale of the season, well at least in this area. Rent One Park is in Marion and they are hosting the DYN-O-MITE yard sale today, and it's suppose to be pretty big. I'll post some pictures when I get back home!

I also wanted to wish Chris (happy birthday baby!) and his sister Kim a Happy Birthday!!!

Whale of a weathervane!

I went to the best yard sale today and I could kick myself for not buying more. I was trying to hurry because Chris was hungover and sleeping waiting for me in the car. I had been keeping my eyes open for a metal basket to hang on the front door, and I actually got two, for free. Please don't judge these little guys yet, they just need a little love...

The yellow basket had a funky flower on it too, but I ripped it off.

Like I said the baskets were free, she was asking twenty-five cents, but ended up just throwing them in.

Score!

I also bought a cute weathervane with a whale on it. I had to hover and wait on this one, but I eventually got it. I thought I probably paid too much for it but I have been looking around online and they can get pretty pricey.I paid five dollars for it and I love it just the way it is.

They also had three scroll wall hangings that I should have bought. I have even thought about driving back to that house to see if they still have them. They were kinda like this one that I found at open window designs.

Wally, Wally!

Chris and I have had a very busy week so far. We both had work, Chris had a doctors appointment and a union meeting, and we've been looking for our cat Wally. He has been gone for four days so far and we have been out every day looking for him. Yesterday and today it rained all day, our yard's flooded, and the temperature dropped. I hate the idea of him being outside cold and hungry, plus he's declawed so he can't defend himself. I've been keeping food outside for him, but I havn't seen him since the first night. I know I must sound like a crazy lady walking around looking for him yelling "Wally,Wally," and Wa Wa" and making meow noises. I thought I saw him the other night, but no, it was a possum! (or opossum) What am I most afraid of in the whole world???? POSSUMS!!!

I did make my first trip to the Goodwill store the other day along with Chris. I couldn't believe he actually asked me if I wanted to go with him. I think he was just tired of me bothering him, because I didn't have any projects to work on. I didn't find much at Goodwill, but I did buy three things.

I bought a huge picture with a gold frame that needed a little love. It has a lot of age spots and scratches on it.

I bought this cute little red box for a dollar and I belive it is from Peir 1. I thought it would look so cute with a coat of paint.

I just noticed the time on my camera is messed up. oops

You can also see the cute metal stars I bought in the photo above. They were a dollar a piece, but I had to have them. I also bought a small brown frame that I plan on painting black.

Another criminal is off the streets!

I just found out that the man who stabbed Kim has been caught! Thank you lord! If anyone wants to read about it I have posted a link here. Kim and Brian are now living back here in Southern Illinois, and we are glad to have them back. We have had several fun nights at their apartment playing the wii,beer pong (coke pong for me), and just hanging out. They have a HUGE cat named Azzy and he is sooo cute, but sooo mean. The other night we took our cat Juan, who happens to be Azzy's sister, over there so they could play,or should I say fight. They mostly hid from each other, but we had a few close calls. Here's some pics of Chris  trying to pet Azzy. I think he hates Chris.
